REIMITZ Sangiovese Rosso Toscano IGT and REIMITZ Sangiovese Bianco

Above Tavarnelle, hidden behind rows of trees, lies the Poggio al Sole winery owned by the Swiss Johannes Davaz. Since 2010, Klaus Johann Reimitz has been implementing his ideas for Sangiovese on the “Boronzky” vineyard, which is approximately one hectare in size. The vines are located in a south-southeast location 400 meters above sea level on Galestro, the famous limestone-slate soil of Tuscany.

Klaus Johann Reimitz creates a new dimension of Sangiovese.

After twenty-five vintages of the top wine Le Pergole Torte for Fattoria Montevertine, the Sangiovese virtuoso is now using all his experience to elicit undiscovered qualities from the ancient Tuscan vine with his own wine REIMITZ.
His wines, an IGT Rosso Toscano and a white wine - both Sangiovese in Purezza - tell of his unfiltered passion for Tuscan wine after 27 months of maturation in two 1500 liter oak barrels (for the red wine) and 15 months in half-piece oak barrels for the white wine Edelrebe and his idea of an ideal expression of its potential. Klaus Johann Reimitz wants to lead his red wines such as the Sangiovese Bianco, which owes its light golden color to the immediate gentle pressing of very ripe, selected first-class grapes, “to clarity, brilliance, freshness, depth and harmony” and in the patient, sensitively guiding accompaniment of the natural Processes in the vineyard and cellar find the essence, the soul of this vine.

The wines retain their untamed character, but are graceful and fine.

The red wines are brought onto the market exclusively in lots of 24 single bottles (four 6 x 0.75 l), 6 magnums (six 1.5 l) and 1 double magnum (3 l) in beautiful wooden boxes - a total of 30 liters of wine. Total quantity of Sangiovese Rosso Toscano IGT is 100 lots.

The rare Sangiovese Bianco is available in wooden boxes of six (six 0.75 l) and as a magnum bottle (1.5 l) in the wooden box. Total quantity here 6oo singlet and 8o magnum bottles.
